Well, when I asked about the huge difference and you responded "how about race gas and not advancing the timing, so I guess you could see how I might think that's what you were saying.

Race gas will not help an engine unless it is really modified (forced induction, HUGE cam and heads). Race gas will not help most cars, nor will it hurt them and cause them to run slower. You just won't be able to take advantage of it.

Like I said, I reviewed the times and the only way I can see to explain it is that the 75-78mph times were run n/a and the 88/97 were run on nitrous (maybe 100 and 150 shot?).

Why don't you list out your mods that you ran the car with. I see no reason why you're hiding them.
Notice I've been very nice in my posts, so no excuses that I was rude so you won't post them ;)

And could you PLEASE use some capital letter and punctuation? Your posts are hard to read

The part I really don't get is when you compare the 60' times from his 11th and 12th run, there is almost 1 second difference (11th was 2.619 and the 12th was 1.721) but his 1/4 times were 16.023 for the 11th and 16.31 for the 12th. That just makes no sense. And since his 1/4 trap times increased 9 mph from the 11th to 12th run, there is just no way. And I am glad to see that members on his own board are questioning the numbers.

What reputation? When you are telling people of tall tales like 9s V6 n/a runs and 16.3 w/ 95ish trap speeds, you have a horrible reputation. We help people on these boards who ask questions, not tall tales. We are still helping the people on this board by letting anyone who doesn't know better that you claims are obsurd. Please explain to us how you think you are helping anyone out by your claims.

If that's really the case then why won't you answer the questions that have been asked of you. Reread the entire thread. There are plenty of people that have asked you questions that you still haven't answered.

SO the race fuel hurt your times? What did you do? run the tank down at the track, then drive to a gas station, and put some regular in it and ran faster?

Race fuel will not neccesarily hurt you, maybe just not help you I have run 100+ octane in my 94, didn't affect a thing just made it smell cool(reason for race gas, was I was sputterting so I put 1.5 gallons of race fuel in for the last 2 runs and drive to gas station after the track closed) Long term woudl effect o2s(if your in a FI car)

Timers are screwy...you say you cannot control your wheelspin but you hit a 1.7 60'? Thats hard not easy to hit, especially on stock suspension... What gears do you have(Yes I am asking a question could you please answer it, even asked politely) Stockv6cam hit a 1.8 on drag radials and 3.73s... which lead to a nice time but not so high mph... Also what tires are you on, Drag radials, slicks, definitely not street tires, unless you converted to AWD

and still running low 16s? with a 97mph trap? That means you might have spun and got a horrible run but like said you had a 1.7 60', which means you probably hooked well.

The first couple runs seem about right... I forgot what my 85 2.8L trapped but it ran mid to low 17s... I bet you could get a better 60' 2.3, is a little high, maybe a 2.0-2.2 depending on your gears, which woudl dip it down to the high 16s.

to help, my old 2.8L, had a K&N filters, bottom of the airbox cutout, 3 or 4in. tubing tunning to the grill and some sort of aftermarket exhaust, had a nice rumble. And a Accel ignition coil(also plugs and wires). I actually still have the ignition coil.

yes street tires, bf goodrich tiger paws, and yes i have cut out the bottom of the air box, and added hawkes stainless cold ram air scoops, they actually was one of the few mods that gave us little or no problem installing, although i have k&N filters in , i take them out at the track, split fire plugs and taylor wires, msd ignition with blaster2 coil and tower

I and many others have helped many a many other people. As for times with the 60* v6, I am usually the first to back them up... I would be willing to accept a 97mph trap speed, and a decent ET from a 60* v6, but you came up with b.s. numbers...

If anything you are the one polluting the site with useless dribble...

Also so you are saying by changing driving styles you gained 20 mph? Do you know how big of a difference 20mph is on a car? I am not even sure there woudl be a 20 mph difference if you went down the track at half throttle, then the next run full throttle!
