  • Come analyze my weak timeslip!

    I just dug up my old best timeslip.

    This was before the cam, (6 months ago) on the 100 shot.
    First the nitrous wasn't working, it kept cutting in and out...
    Second, I just got the Nitto Drags, and I hadn't learned how to launch on them yet, hence the 60'

    Keep in mind 3000ft altitude, 100 deg heat.

    Say I learn to launch the SOB ( I can do at LEAST a 2.2 on street tires, let alone nitto drags). What do you guys think I should be running with a good launch???

    Do you have LSD?

    With LSD and nittos I woudl expect 1.9-2.0 60's at least... which woudl likely put you in the high 13s...

    But fix all your problems before you go back, especially if its your nitrous... your mph seems a little low...

    BTW what gears are you running? 3.23s? if so do you stay in 3rd or ride through in 4th?

      Yeah I have LSD, I only got in 2 passes that night, after having the nittos.
      On a 100 shot out of the hole, it takes more than 2 passes to get the hang of it.

      Next time out, I should be doing only motor runs on nittos. Maybe 1 nitrous run if I get the launch down...

      3.23s stay in 3rd..

        yeah get your launch down with the nittos before you start spraying... just trapping like 94-95ish, seems like I peg the rev limiter after the finish line [img]smile.gif[/img] always makes me want to shift it into 4th...

          Yeah its right at the end of the gear...
          Any good tips for a decent launch...

          On the nittos should I dump or feather?
          I was dumping on 100 shot and I would spin to high heaven... Or not launch high enough to activiate the nitrous and almost stall...

          The 14.4 is with almost stalling...

            your problem is all at teh launch man. with teh mph you are running there is enough power there to put down a 1.87ish 60ft.
            look at your chassis and launch technique very carefully. if you can hook taht mph and run a 1.90 or better you will go into the 13's

              Burn out real good... Launch like a mofo. If you bog, launch a little harder. If you spin a little less.
