    is this a good time for a stock 2000 3.8 1/8

    I took my camaro to the track sorry I only have a 1/8 in my area but I have 3.42 lsd stock on a 2000 3.8 convertable. I have 10 spoke 17" SS wheels on it other than that all stock. here are my runs
    RT 60ft 330ft 1/8ET mph

    are these good times for this car? also I have added a few things in the last week:Nitto drag radial, K&N, removed silencer, 2 1/2" cutout behind the cat, HPP3, Lakewood traction action control arms with traction bars, MSD Dis 4, accell 9000 8mm wires, NGK IR plugs and an aluminum driveshaft. what do you think it might do now and what else do you guys suggest I do next? I want to keep it N/A and am trying for all the bolt ons I can find before entering the engine. also I want to keep it consistant because I want to bracket race. I know I don't need it to be faster to bracket race but it is funner to be faster.

        Prior to the newmods you were probably doing low 15s with those you may be into the 14s N/A in the 1/4!

          I would work on the 60's if I could pull a 2.106 on a an open diffy 3.23, then you can pull a 2.0-2.1 with 3.42s and lsd...

          They are good times but will be better with a better 60' [img]smile.gif[/img] should be in the 9s like elvis...

          How are you launching? Do you brake torque it and go, or jsut hit the gas when its time to go?

            Being a vert hurts you pretty bad. Those 17 inch wheels aren't helping you either. Lose some weight out of the car and get you're 60' down.

              Yes I am brake torqing. I had a bad wheel hop problem thats why I instaled the traction bars and lower control arms. hope to be faster going back on sunday weather permiting.http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...amaro+lakewood those are the bars I installed

                His reaction times are actually quite good. Besides unless you are bracket racing who cares? If you are just wanting to see what your car can do don't worry about R/T.

                Those aren't bad times but you probably have more left in your car. I have 3.08 and an open diffy and I have a best of 10.165@69.92 with a 2.3xx 60'. My mods are slp cai, K&N (is this even a mod?), whisper lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch.

                Defintely good times, especially for your first time, but I think your car has more in it. I bet your car has 2.1 60' times in it.

                I just re-read your post and saw you have a convertable. The extra weight from that probably isn't helping you. What is the curb weight for the convertable?
                SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

                      a 9.97 1/8th is about a 15.5, with ur new mods you'll prob run some real low 15's

                              I didn't see it listed, so I'm assuming you don't have either of these...
                              Next for N/A power would be headers and cat-back exhaust...you'll see good gains from that for sure
