I know my RTs were bad I was just trying a lot of different lauchs and not paying much attention to RTs today. the car hooked much better and I had no wheel hop as I did before. It seemed like I got slower as the day went on but the temps where rising fast all day. My freind raced my on the first one he has a 98 camaro 3.8 with flowmaster I know he does not have 3.42 or lsd but I don't know what he has though but he ran a 10.61

got to run with new mods
What where the new mods you got?

Also, if you put a 180* thermo and a manual fan switch in, your times will probably stay consistant. I have actually found that with my manual fan switch and 180* thermo if I hot lap a few times my 3-4 runs will be faster than my first two.

I just keep the fan on the whole time. The computer throws a SES light but it goes off after a couple of times driving the car and letting the computer control the fans.
SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

My mods new mods are posted at the top of this post. The first times are the car completely stock/ No mods at all. The last times listed are afer the mods listed in the first post.

I did not remove anything from my trunk. Might have been faster if I did but I am going to start bracket racing on march 6th and I wanted to see the difference in my times without removing everything every time I go. I know I have a little more weight than others but I want to keep it the same every time. I have a 10" sub in a box, Amp, fire ext., and a first aide kit in the truck and still have the spare tire. I would just remove it all and keep it out but these things are required because me and my wife take care of a mentaly challenged guy and they require us to have those things in the car exept the 10" sub of course. I know the convertable adds 135Lbs. also. I dont want to remove the MAF screen because I heard I my cause the car to run differnt at times thus run less consistant.

                MSD Dis 4
From what I understand the MSD DIS 4 ignition system is worthless for the 3.8's. They are helpful on the 3.4's but the stock ignition system on the 3.8's is already pretty strong.

May want to do a search.

                Good Times!

yeah I heard the same. I am goning to try it both ways next time I go to the track. I would have tried it last time but I have it mounted where I have to have a couple of tools to get to and I had no tools with me. maybe sunday I can try it both ways. I don't think it made any differnce either.

Ok goning to the track in the morning (sun)02-29
I removed the pass. seet, rear seats, subs, amp, fire ext., first aide kit, and the spare tire + all the crap out of the glove box and froor mats. lost a lot of weight. I am thinking of gaping the plugs to .065 what do you guys think + do you have any more suggestions. there is a guy from work with a 94 Prelude wants to race me at the track tommorow. I figured I would let the car cool before the race and take the drive belt off. If you guys have any quick suggestions to get a little more out of it I would like to know. THis is the last T and T before Bracket racing starts so just tring to get a good time out of it for fun.

i can pull 112lbs out of my car w/seats, toolbox, sub, and floormats...then letting my car cool off real cold is worth .1-.2 in my car..
