MustangEater8251, you live in orlando, maybe one day we can hit up bradenton or orldando drag strip and I would definetly like for you to drive my car or at least show me how to rip the track up!!!
You have no idea what you are doing by letting me drive your car :D

Maybe sometime, but feathering the clutch is a good way to launch it especially with an open diffy.

ok , the specs of the cam are much appereciated, that would explain the improved top end , but not much better than stock, but im with eric, learn to launch it and you should have the N/A 3.4L record.. if you get the the track before me that is

This post honestly makes me wonder what my car would do on the 1/4... I have a 94 3.4L with a few mods. I guess that we will just have to see, won't we?!

Racing is not so much your car, it is the driver. I have learned that a great deal. My first run that day I got a 16.2 and then by improving my take off I got it down to a 15.7

I might be going this weekend to the track and i have removed my rear seats, I will take out my passenger seat and I might go head and take out my spare tire and jack.

Just keep working at it:)

So isnt his car still 2 tenths faster than yours???????

Cams arent like turbos or superchargers. Sure some people do drop a half second or maybe even more. But for the most part you drop 3-5 tenths, depending on how mild or strong your cam setup is.

I think a 15.7 for a 3.4 is a GOOD time...Isnt that roughly a second better than stock?

I know some of you are gonna say blah blah blah no way a stock 3.4 runs 16.7, mine and my friends ran 16.4 stock.

I mean for the MOST PART a 3.4 will run around 16.7 or a little better right?

So I think you should be real proud of that time. Youd defiently smoke alot of 3.8 mustangs. You would have KILLED me before I got supercharged by 4 tenths!!!!!!!!

98Green don't forget about altitude and whatnot...

The track that is close to my home is like 100ft above sea level He might pull better times because he is at a lower elevation.

A 100 feet isn't that drastic....

my 3.4L ran 16.8s with a previous version of a ghetto cold air setup.

the 100 ft at my closest track compared to 2000ft or 3000ft at other tracks is drastic

rev the car up to a higher rpm(2,000-3000 rpms), and instead of just dropping it, you "ride it out slowly"

well not neccesarily slowly but slowly enough you don't spin the wheels.
