I see some people on this board with more mods in their sig than i have and they are only running low 15s and hi 14s....when i only had a muffler and a K&N filter i was running 15.3s and 15.4s and i have the slip to back that up. now i have added my whole intake, a thermostat, and a jet stage 2 chip. the headers and hi flow cat are not on yet. now my friend runs 15.4s and i leave him in the dust but about 3 cars. how car people with more mods be running slower when they have more power?
2001 Black Camaro

I have no clue how i beat you.....maybe your car is slow.

Whisper lid, SSRA, Pacesetter Headers, Carsound 3\" Cat, SLP Loudmouth, BMR strut brace, black ZR-1 rims, Xenon kit
Ltos of factors in drag racing... elevation, drivng abiulity, and just some cars run bette then others...
Look at me, I probably spent a few hundred less then you and ran a full second faster ITs about having the car setup up for what makes it go fast and driving it to the limit of that to make it go fast.
I'd say a HUGE part of it is altitude. My car is very strong, and at my track, I am still fighting to hit a 14.9xx. But, when I was completely stock at HRP (sea level or very close to it that night), I ran 15.1....AND some of them can't drive

That and it does take some practice. I mean you can't take your car to the track for the first time and only run 3 times and expect to come away with the best you & your car can do.

Driver skill, track conditions, state of tune on motor, etc.. IF you take the exact same car and let 10 different people run it you will have 10 different times.
dude i ran a 2.2 60', 14.92 @ 90mph, then added 3.42posi, 2800 stall converter, cutout, and drag radials, then ran a 2.0 60', 14.90 @ 93.6mph, i didn't gain any E/T but i gained alot on 60' and mph, i think it had to do with the weather, but i dont know, it all pisses me off anyway...
let's not forget to take into account where people live/race too. i live and run near sea level here in new jersey, anyone towards the weat by only a few hours has a disadvantage of nearly 1000ft from the air i get to see all the time.
weather is a key factor for anyoen who races on a regular basis. i wish more tracks put the weqather staion read outs on the timeslip on street nights, then you can jsut run the correction factor and compare timeslips more accurately.
