It's opening day at the local track. I shoulda got the car ready and snuck off without telling anyone ;) Probably coulda ran the same or better today. Conditions are pretty darn good. Oh well, I guess I'll go and watch instead. I really need to get out into the bright sunshine anyway. I have CABIN FEVER!!!! I'll update everyone on what kind of cars I see there... I know what you mean... I haven't been to the track in nearly two months and it's been open! I'm at a point right now where either the tranny or the rear is gonna go, and I can't afford to fix either. :( Since she's my daily driver, I can't have her down while I save money. Also been teched too many times for running 11s with no bar. I only get one or two runs in when I go there.

It was packed at the track. Unfortunately, I've noticed a change there. In between the beautiful race cars and street cars, there is an abundance of compacts. Kids are coming in from NY city and taking over the track!!! They even bring their Pitbulls with them and sit in big groups in the stands. Now for some stats:
I saw a Suburu WRX run a 13.2 and one run a 13.4. Many race cars in the 10's/low 11's. Newer V8 Fbody's running anywhere from mid 13's to low 14's. And an 87' Grand National that ran 13.7 @ 99mph to name a few. Tons of Mustangs. Didn't get to see any new Cobras run this time. Also, a Neon (turbo version) ran 14.1. And Nissan 350Z ran a 14.6 then a 14.2 (I think it was the same car).

Well I am not sure if ATCO is the correct spelling but you sure spelled plenty of other things wrong!

This new "internet speak" is a pet peeve of mine. It is SO hard to read and it makes you sound uneducated. Let me help people out:

"I see you are from NJ are you going to ATCO tonight? I may have misspelled ATCO. Or do you live further upstate?"

Anyway, I am getting anxious for my track to open. It doesn't open until next month. I have added 3.42 gears and an Auburn Pro LSD. Also, I should probably have some custom programming by then. So I am pretty excited about seeing what kind of times I run now. Everyone talking about going to the track is making me jealous!

Wilk, I think Atco is like 2 hours away for me. I've never been there, but someone told me it's a haul. I go to a local track up this way (northwest NJ), Island Dragway.
