  • Sooooo close to 13's N/A!!!!

Well, when I went there I really was expecting 14.5-14.6

I lost the locking lug nut key so I ran with full size 16 X 8's w/ 225 50's in front instead of my light weight weld 15 X 3.5's w/ skinnies

Car desperately needs an allignement. It changes lanes w/o warning :(

I changed plugs but found many wire boots old, cracking and just not looking so hot.

I had changed from my SLP cold air kit w/ both nostrils functional cold air / ram air to a lingenfelter supertube to an open element k&n air filter under the hood. I added a single dryer ducting from one nostril to the air filter

I had not changed the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, tranny fluid etc.

Basically, I was NOT expecting anything great.

    First pass:

    60.....1.908
    330....5.685
    1/8....8.889
    mph....76.10
    1000...11.684
    1/4....14.077 <----- NEW BEST!!!
    mph....94.57 <----- NEW BEST!!!

The locker rear and torque arm works AWESOME!!!
I found myself only being able to stall it to 2700-2800 rpm's and then the brakes were giving way :(

    second pass:
    60.....1.885
    330....5.673
    1/8....8.883
    mph....76.05
    1000...11.681
    1/4....14.079
    mph....94.34

Top end the car was ALL over the track. I went from one side to the other of my lane :(

    60.....1.895
    330....5.702
    1/8....8.928
    mph....75.65
    1000...11.742
    1/4....14.157
    mph....93.65

Hmmmm, down .1 and 1 mph... wanna know why? Well, I was out of gas and only had access to 100 octane Cam 2 GT. This is ALL I had in the tank. The needle was on E. I added 1.5 gallons for $6-7 :(

    Last run:
    60.....1.929
    330....5.742
    1/8....8.962
    mph....75.88
    1000...11.776
    1/4....14.168
    mph....94.17

Again, .1 slower and .5 mph off... my guess, 100 octane

Well, 14.07 w/ a full size tire in front :D

As soon as I get the locking lug nut key and switch to skinnies I am hoping to see 13's N/A

    STOCK cam
    Pathetic 3:23 gears :D

    Race weight: 3160

Factor in 200 lbs for driver

    2960 lbs w/o driver

40 lbs off w/ swapping skinnies for full size tires

    2920 lbs..........w/o driver

Next thing to do.... delete air bags and egr for 28XX pounds w/o DRIVER!

    Woo Hoo!

way to go man. i told you that all you shoudl have been workin on is traction for a while now...lol
make sure you do all your weight reduction before you go get the alignment, and ask if you can sit in the car while they do it or leave 200lbs of weights in there to represent you. the more perfect they get teh alignment the lower the rolling resistance.
get the toe and camber to 0 and get as much caster as you can for best straight line performance.
