  • I think the car is making power now... Might be flirting with 12s (If I can Launch)

Went back to the track last friday.
    100 Shot dry.
    On Nitto 555Rs with 15psi.
    Still 3.23 gears..
    3000 ft altitude.
N/A the car runs strong, I could do better but I focus on the nitrous runs.

    First run NA
    R/T .065
    60' 2.190 <---New Best
    330 6.303
    1/8 9.758
    MPH 70.30
    1000 12.761
    1/4 15.268 <---New best
    MPH 90.08 <---New best
    Thats about a 14.6@93.5 Corrected.

    Second Run - 100 shot.
    R/T .342
    60' 2.446 <---New WORST
    330 6.167
    1/8 9.171
    MPH 82.88
    1000 11.724
    1/4 13.889 <---New BEST
    MPH 104.15 <---New BEST
    Thats about a 13.3@108

Had other runs, ran another 13.8, but the bottle was low because the mph dropped.

If the car ran a 13.8 with a LAME 2.4 60', and I know with the right tire, I could at least pull a 2.0 60', I should be flirting with 12s.

    Goodbye Nittos, hello ET Streets!!

sounds liek you have all teh mph you need, but you really gotta work on that launch. if the car is capable of going 104+ through teh traps you should be at least into the high 1.7's in the 60ft.
i suggest lookin into an aftermarket torque arm and some relocation brackets(i see from your site that you already have good control arms). the 275 nitto's are perfectly capable of giving you the grip you need to go well into the 12's, you jsut have to get a bit more of the chassis working with them.
did you try dropping the front sway off for a few runs? try pumping a bunch of extra air into the front tires(50psi)?
excellant runs, if you find a 12 at that altitude you will have to make a trip to better air soem time to see what that thing can really do.

I can pull 2.1s NA no prob any harder and I spin like mad. If you can't launch hard, it seems like wasted power, instead of launching softer, I just want more grip.

Correct me if im wrong here.

it's all in the pedal. it's not like u have 2 take it majorly easy off the line. maybe just easing into the gas a tiny bit slower could get u more grip and a quicker 60 ft. do u have a auto or manual?

N/m, u have a manual. oh, and beef up the rear suspension more. supposedly anything u do back there will gain u traction no matter what.

            Wow, I am stoked...
I looked at the timeslip page and there's only like 6 cars trapping faster, and they mostly all run 12s...
            I need to hook BAD!!!

Your mph trap will drop some with increased traction but yeah I think you are there. WTG.

I think so too, maybe with a bottle heater, I can bring that MPH up a little also.
