anyone who has drums shoudl go to their local junk yard and try to find a set of aluminum drums. they were put on a variety of mid and full size gm cars from teh 60's through the early 90's. they are real easy to spot, they will be grey in color and have big cooling fins sticking up. most yards are about $10-14 each. it saves 7-11lbs per side. or when I am looking at my wheels through my rims

Or when I need to do the rear brakes.

Disappointing night...They had some big event there, so i only got two runs in. The first one, I was able to heat up the tires a little more and I pulled off a 2.140 60' however only yielded a 15.1 @ 90.7. I just installed a shift light and I think I set it a little low and shifted too early. 2nd run I messed up the launch, got a 2.3 60' and a 15.5 @ 91.7. I want to try a few things next time. First question, if I run open maf would i be getting more air as opposed to the ram air and whisper lid with no filter set up? Second, if I take the belt off like MustangEater, what keeps the alternator going?

Nothing keeps the alternator going, the engine just runs off of the battery for a short period of time.
