Which is the better flame retardant and why? I know there is info on this somewhere on the internet, because I've seen it before, but I can't seem to find it. Any help before I shell out $150 on a jacket?

as far as teh general safety attributes check out the simpson site. i dunno if they still ahfve it up, but they used to have a chart so you coudl compare all teh materals side by side.
i have a nomex lined helmet and it seems pretty soft and comfortable. if you can find a high end speed shop they may have jackets in stock taht you can try on and see how they feel. check on the simpson site for the closest simpson world store.
