• 17's on front and 16's in rear?

I need racing slicks but I dont have any so I was thinking about using my old somewhat bald 235/55/16 on the rear and keeping my 275/45/17 on the front . Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Thanks

use the 16's all around, the 17" wheel will weigh more and just slow you down....

I asked this a few months ago, it is possible to do and won't technically hurt anything, the gains would probably be better if you had 16's all around however.

the only prob with the other 2 16's are that the lugs are stripped and it is almost impossible to get them on. The rims on my 17's are actually 4 lbs lighter than the stock rims on my 16's so I am not concerned with weight.
