Withigotan8..... a 16.6 is slow, those 60's are horrible, and it's not just because of your gears.... unless you are at a high elevation, you should be running much faster, as should ka50.

I agree that 2.5-2.6's are slow unless it's a bad elevation, there is something wrong there. When i first ran, i was getting those times, but after a tuneup i was able to get into the 15's.

Yep, him and I were racing against each other. I saw him take off and his car hooked real good. he got a really great run on me. He beat me but poor guy broke out and I won.

You're not going to misshift and spin out, at least not that I know of.

Now, I think alot has to do with the rear end gear. I have a 3.8 with 3.08s and the best time i got out of my car was about 16.6. I usually run around a 16.8 and sometimes even low 17's! As far as your 60' time goes thats alot faster than mine. I usually run 2.5-2.6 and trust me...I'm not screwing up. My E.T.s are inconsitant as hell and i drive an automatic. My trap speed is almost identical to yours. So, what i would say is that if you go and check what gear your car came with i would bet it is equipted with 3.08 gears and that its not your fault..the cars just slower than what you were expecting.
