I am seriously considering getting some low price drag radials just for the track but I have an open dif. would this help me or not do anything at all with the open dif?

I would get the LSD first then DR's
I had a set on my open s10 xtreme and still had traction probs. with the DR's although it was better I think LSD's would have helped more. I woudl get lsd first(heck I did [img]smile.gif[/img] ) Besides I really do not see a need for drag radials... I mean I went on some bald bald tires and did ok... Jsut practice more. BTW I would look hard and quick if anyone has any slp takeoffs...Comment

Just think... with open diff you will only need one for the right tire......LOL

actually...
If you only get one DR..then you will only be using your other tire...remember that the open diff sends the power to the wheel with the least resistance...
so...
get two...
or forget it...
but really...

Drag radials aren't much better than street tires unless they're heated up at least a little bit. So you do your quick burnout with the open diff and ONE tire spins... Now that tire has been heated, and will stick better. However, you have an open differential, which will turn the EASIEST tire to spin, and you can bet your *ss it's not gonna be the one that you just smoked.
