ya, ME! this'll move me up like 40 spaces on the timeslip page

60'--2.124
330'--6.177
1/8--9.578
1/8 MPH--72.02
990--12.501
1/4--14.945 <-------------
1/4 MPH--92.39

was the first time out for the season today, and first time with the cam. so the cam 210/210 .507/.507 111ls 107ic gave me .404 over last year. i'll try a different track next weekend, and see if i can't make her go a little faster yet

very nice numbers.
what kind of tuning have you done to compensate for the new cam? fuel pressure? programming?
congrats.

i have done no tuning whatsoever...yet i did wire in a switch tho to disconnect the knock sensors, because i was getting all kinds of KR (therefore hesitiation) happening around 4.5 grand. i don't run it on the street with the sensors disconnected tho...only at the track ;)

Tell us more about this. I am getting tons of KR above 3000rpm.

I have a cam a little more mild than yours. I also have 11.0:1 compression, so I am worried about completely disconnecting the knock sensors. I don't know if my forged pistons can put up with serious, continious detonation.

Continious detonation?

There should be no reason your motor would be running under serious continious detonation if the motor is built right. Factory knock sensors pickup what they think is detonation, but it's not. That's just the profile of the cam tricking the knock sensors.

Desensitize the sensors.. Ask Seppo about it he has detailed instructions on what he did.

Looks like you found me a weekend project.

I wonder how much those pots cost??

I got bored tonite so went to my secret test facility. With stock settings, my Gtech trapped me at 89mph. I then pulled 2 degrees of timing progressively with my Maft and trapped at 96mph.

THe KR nazi stepped in at 4800rpm instead of 3500rpm. THere is a true testament to the absolute crappines of KR.
