  • 12.51 at 108 w/ 1.71 60ft on 9-10psi

Worked out a couple bugs and hit the track.....i put new wires and accel coils in and a 26" slick instead of a 27" and intercooler sprayer thingy. Was seeing 9-10psi on the gauge....my actuator spring is weak and only lets me get max of 10psi...but ima fix that soon ;)

Track was real crappy and spun all 4 runs with my ET Streets set at 17psi.

Temp was about 73 degrees...fairly cool out.

    Race weight was 3445lbs.

    Best run was...

    60ft.....1.714
    330'.....5.100
    1/8......7.954
    MPH......86.04
    1000'....10.424
    1/4......12.51
    MPH......108.01

Im not real thrilled with this....i ran 12.59 before with stock coils, more weight, and a bigger tire. Oh well.

Any reason why you choose Accel coils over other brands. I don't think very highly of Accel coils. I have one in my car and put it on the scope at school. It was suppose to push 35,000+ volts but only tested at 18,000v. I complained to Accel and they sent me another for my troubles. It tested the same. Just my .02

            26 inch tire, good choice.

            Drop tire psi to 15

Ditch accel coil packs, I had them and developed a heat soak issue which affected my ignition.

I told ya you would see an improvement on the 26 inchers. I hoped you'd get into the 1.6s but you're dang close. As others have said, I wouldn't have gone with the accell coils. I had them on my 96 then switched back to delco coils. It seems that the Accels don't like the heat in FL very much.

The dry hops may be allowing the tire to cool down too much before you actually launch. I would suggest just doing a normal burnout, and getting it into the lights quickly and carefully.

See if that makes any difference.
