Last weekend was the first streetlegal night at the track for the season and I was pretty excited to get out and test my car because I had just installed an edelbrock catback exhaust on it the month before and I was pretty eager to see what kind of gains just a cat would produce. The results were awesome. Every run (I had a total of seven runs) was faster than my previous best time from last season. My best run last year was 16.277, and I couldn't duplicate it again. This time was much different.
At the end of the day my fourth run was my fastest, at 16.025 with a full tank of gas! If I go there empty I know I can break in to the 15's before I install my supercharger.(keep in mind this is at 2800ft ASL) I just couldn't belive that with just a catback it would drop my time by almost 3 tenths. I have to say I'm quite satisfied. Plus the fact that I won against 2 Cavaliers, a Dakota RT, and a 95 Grand Prix Gt was pretty awesome too. All in all, this year looks to be pretty sweet at the track.
