• not so good times, do different tracks give different results?

i went to bremerton raceway last friday and ran a best of 15.7 but i couldnt believe my eyes, i trapped at 91.44 mph ....my 60' times though were at their best a 2.346 i know they sucked. after PIR hitting a best of 15.375 i figured with more practice and the fact that they had good track prepi would be able to get a little closer to that 14 mark. i tried launching at rpms ranging from 1500 to 2200. i know my 3.08 gears are the culprit, but are different tracks really that different on the times slips. i mean even when i knew my car had better runs in it it only hit a 15.7 i even hits a couple 16's yikes.

oh yeah, for all you home depot'ers i took a drier vent and placed it into my cut apart air damn. then i pulled the ducting tight down to it so it would be more smooth. you could definitely feel a difference at a higher rpm but too much crap got in there on te way to the track... also i heard that a gtp cam is supposed to knock a second off you 1/4 mile times, is that bogus or ?

anyways any input is nice, mainly though I jst want the track ? answered. i also will only be ablt to check this about once a week so feedback might be slow

yes, different tracks definitely yield different results. it's all a matter of track prep, elevation, temperature...

the same track can yield different results for that matter

I have no idea what you tried to say BLLDOGG but I agree 100% :D ;)

Weather plays a HUGE role in it... How different was the weather? Temp? Humidity?

A GTP cam?
Do you mean a cam from ZZP?
What you knock off your time depends on what cam you get and what tuning you get done with it.

i dont know what i was saying either. but what i was thinking was that track prep will help you or hurt you. different weather will also be a big factor

Track Prep, Weather, and experience all can play factors at any given time. If you're trapping 91 you should be much faster than a 15.7. You're probably thinking of the GT cam from ZZP..
