no idea what to expect out of my car

i dont know when ill be able to take my car to the track anytime soon, and i hate not knowing what to say when people ask what it'll run because i dont have any idea what to really expect from it. my mods are as follows:

Intake:
lid, filter, raised airbox, fra, removed air silencer/maf screen, functional hood nostrils

Engine:
160 degree thermo, manual fan switch, platnum +4 plugs, msd coils, taylor wires

Exhaust:
pacesetters, 3" carsounds cat, 3" piping, Z55 ravin muffler

Drivetrain:
LSD, LS1 aluminum driveshaft, poly tranny mount, stock 3.23 gears, fairly new 245/50/16 tires

suspension:
V8 take off shocks, H&R springs

Weight reduction:
no rear seats, no jack/spare, no front bumper

any ideas? i hope for good high 14s at least... think i have the power to back that up?

15.1, 15 flat... takes more to run a 14 than power.

if its your first time.. dont expect anywhere near 14's...

i'd say first time down will be your fastet run.. the rest from there will be fairly inconsistant ranging up to the mid 15's.. hehe.. especially in the heat of summer and ****

ive been to the track before, but it was only an 1/8th... and that was when all i had was: cat, piping, muffler, lid and filter... no lsd, 215 bald tires, full weight, etc... best i got then was a 10.0 or 10.1 i think with a 2.4 or 2.5(eek!) 60'

Might take you a little while to learn to drive it at the track, looks like its capable of a 14 but it depends on your driving.

take the front bumper off? what's better, the aerodynamics of the bumper or the weight saved by removing it? i'd say the aerodynamics....

was that at Sealy? I ran there one time and hated it cuz you have to pull around the water, i had an open rear at the time and ran a 10.04 w/somewhere around a 2.48 60'...i couldnt hook for ****....but on a good track i bet your car is capable of a high 14, it will just take a few visits for you to get better at launching etc...

I am thinking that he means that he took out the bumper support, not the cover. That support is heavy but there is a reason for it. I hope I am wrong cause if you take out the support, if you ever get into an accident, that engine will be in your lap. [img]graemlins/stickpoke.gif[/img] Saving weight is one thing, doing it safely is the other.
