Hmm...No doubt a BIG part of the secret in stock eliminator is the PERFECT suspension setup. I would like to know his cam specs and such, because I know the LS1 based stock eliminator cars have to run stock lift cams, and have alot of other restrictions. They actually setup the valve springs to have float at higher rpm's to yield more lift We setup our current racecar stock eliminator-ish. The big difference is that we put a strong motor in ours, as apposed to a low lift cam and such.

I love the way they launch, and then come down so nice (usually), and that's where they get alot of their ET down. If I had the money, I'd set mine up as such and see what I could do with 250rwhp. It is a very expensive setup as far as the suspension goes, nothing just thrown on, and it is as hard to tune it as it is to tune the motor!

Anyone could run 11's if they had an a$$load of $$$ to spend. But in all reality, if i had a ridiculous amount of money, i wouldnt spend the time modding out a V6, id go buy a Viper or something, and mod that

yea, but it is good to see the potential of our cars when done right. Yea it's gonna be expensive, but $$$ is always involved when modding cars.

The layout said something like "Fastest V6 Bird In the Land" as I recall. He wrote to say it wasn't the fastest in the land is all.

But in reality, it's harder for us to go from 13 sec. to 12. Which is an easy task for LS1. Imagine going from 12 to 11. That takes even more.

So far there are 4 NA Firebirds running in 12. Don't know about Camaro. And not one is a member here. That tells us that there are alot more fast V6 f-bodies out there.

that's a lot of money being spent, and probably 4.88 to 5.30 gears in the rear end.

Birdofprey, what do you mean by that? If you're talking about his car, those are contingency stickers which equate to $$$$ when you win races. I saw a white Firebird like that at Island dragway (in NJ) where I go, and I talked to the guy for a while. He had a speech impediment and it was a little difficult to understand him. This was about 3 seasons ago, and the car was running 12.5's N/A. I don't know if it was the same person or not, but it sure looks like the same car. It was a Pontiac "Performance" car 3.8 with a dash plaque and writing inside the door too. It was built to specifically run in Super Stock Eliminator class which supposedly has some pretty strict rules. He told me some things about the car then said something like "I'd rather be racing a V8".
