  • 11 sec NA Firebird!!!!

I was reading through the local newspaper today and stumbled across this interesting little article.

Harry Doolittle (a guy from Michigan) has a 2002 Firebird with a v6 engine running 11.97@112mph in the 1/4 mile NA!!!!!!! It is the quickest NA V6 in the United States.

Has anybody seen him race his firebird? The article has a picture of his car and everything. I wish my scanner wasn't broke so I could scan the arcticle in for you guys.

Yea sure he is a hardcore racer and his car is only used at the track, but this is good news for us V6 guys seeing a NA car reaching the 11s. I wonder what he has all done to the car. Has to be a buttload of $$$ in it.

Let me know if anyone else has heard of him or seen him race!

Never heard of it. Most likely not a L36 or a 3.8L for that matter since he is 2seconds faster then any other n/a lol.

      It says it's a buick V6, which is a L36.

My scanner at the shop says my engine in my camaro is a Buick V6. They are the same motors.

The L36 is based on the Buick V6, but not all Buick V6s are L36s.

as lance is suggesting, "NA V6," "Buick V6," and "2002 Firebird" in the same sentence do not constitute "L36," although i wish it did.

Last I heard he was at 12.6 N/A

              He runs a 3800 series 2 engine!!!

              Yup!!!

He sent high performance pontiac a letter disputing my cover shot and 3 page spread.

I think someone from this board hhas met him or family member knows him.

I soooooooooooooooo want to meet him and see his car.

              I would be in AWE!

I have a pic of him by his car, just can't scan it! stupid scanner. Time to call HP about it. He does a lot of NHRA races and will be going into the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame this fall the article talks about.
