• Whats the best possible reaction time?

I went to the track for the first time and i left a little late i think and my reaction time was .901. My friend said the best r/t you can get is .5. Is this true? Also im kinda new to this so should i nail it right when i see the last yellow light come on the tree?

Depends on the type of tree they run. For a street car class, the norm is a .500 light. For a "pro tree" it is .400 seconds.

Ok thanks matt... it was .500. The only other question is should i start on the last yellow light?

Tracks using LED lights, the best possible r/t is .000
Mine so far is .004

You want to start leaving on the 3 yellow light, probably as soon as the 3rd yellow light comes on. You need to add the rollout distance of your tires through the stage beams.

Yea, now they say .000, but in fact that is how much over or under .500/.400 you are On a .500 tree, go when you see the first glimpse of the 3rd yellow light. Then by the time you react, you push the peddle, and your car reacts, you are are moving a split second later. Practice practice practice!

yup..when the last yellow light is lit...just before you get your green...a r/t of -040 is definitely better that .500 (depending on the tree of course) ;)

I always go when the 2nd light goes out. Although the track has added LED lights since the last time I went so I might have to adjust.
