• First time at the track, Aug. 28th

Goin to Englishtown for the first time this saturday, aug. 28th. I'm goin down with James and a few other people. I'm expecting mid-to low 15's. i plan on removing the seats (all except the driver's, obviously), as well as the jack + spare. removing all those will save me approx. 84 lbs. anybody have any other tips for a first-timer? what RPM to launch at, etc.?

turn the ac off in the staging lanes.
dont do big burn-outs, just enough to make the tires a little sticky

first time...woohoo! ...nice...its gonna be awesome...honestly the jack and the spare really arent going to effect your times that much...but it looks like you're stripping the whole damn thing so you might as well...i personally just dont like being without a spare haha...i think your launch is going to depend on 3 things...your car's weight, LSD or not LSD, and what kind of tires you'll be using...i have an open 3.08...which is what im assuming you have?...and i run street tires...so i dont have to worry much about wheel spin...however...i found that if i launched at 1500rpms i did get a tiny bit...which wont hurt you that much...but i like to get a nice biting launch...so i lowered it to 1200 and found that to be perfect...and i have no rear seats or subs but i do have the jack/spare...a trip i had this weekend got cancelled so i might even be down there myself
