    Autotap lets you monitor the engine by looking at all the values of the sensors. It does not allow you to change anything.

    HP Tuners does everything autotap does and also lets you change the values in the actual PCM which allows you to tune(timing, air/fuel ratio, gears, shiftpoints, ect) the engine for more power and safty.

    Up until this year, there was no way to change the values in the PCM, you could only trick it using things like MAFT+, ajustable fuel pressure regulators and AFC controllers. Autotap was used in conjunction with those to tune your engine. Now autotap is not worth buying for 300 when you can get HP tuners for 500 which is much more usefull since you will not have to buy all the other electronic devices to trick the computer into working.

        holy crap.. jsut nipping 13's with 6 lbs and an 85 shot.. thats AWFULL..

        Next time i get out to the track i shuld see 13's and my car has never even seen 6 lbs.. typicaly 5 ish..

        sorry man.. but you reallly gota step back and take care of your car..

          yeah...it all depends on if the engine is fine or not...if the engine is fine im going to get hp tuners and tune the living sh*t out of it...if its totally screwed...i'll just race it for the season and swap it over the winter...but the engine might be fine...the 3 things im thinking now is its a nitrous nozzle location problem, ignition timing problem, or fuel psi problem since i have no idea what that is...GOTTA get a gauge...if the engine is fine and i can tune it and figure out what the problem is and fix it...i think the car has the potential for mid 12s ...i dont know about anything lower than that
