i'd also look into learning how to drive.
It is an automatic, what is there to learn? Mash the gas and go. Just launch will little or no spin, keep the gas pedal to the floor, and hold on.

Screw supras....I hate those freaken cars.....My buddy wants to get one instead of a z06 if you can beleave that.

He keeps saying how the supras gonna beat a zo6 after he puts like 15 grand into it...

He's rich (30 grand a month income owning a medical billing buisiness ) but that still seems retarded to me...15 grand in a Z06 and your running 10's easy......

He's currently at the dealership looking at a 90,000 dollar NSX...Must be nice....

Well to get back on subject I hope he gets the nsx instead of this 03 z06 hes been thinking about for the past few days....

Atleaste Ill still be able to smoke him.

NEways thats a total differant subject...

Thanks for the tips....especialy 12 second with the other two c5 times.

It doesn't take 15 grand to beat a z06 in a supra

yes it does, havent you ever seen a supra at the track? 600hp or 1000hp, they still run 11's lol.

j/p shane, ive seen 2 in the 9's. But seriously, theres a supra around me that was in SCC for their SCC shootout, and he has like an insane amount of power, and still runs like 11.9, but its at like 138mph.

...that's why I'm still hanging on to my powerdyne for now. Instead of selling it.

Thinking I might try to find (or build) a bracket for it.

Sorry Shirl...Ivekinda got a bad tastein my mouth when it comes to supercharging...Besides the cheapest blower for a vette is like 6 grand!!!

Im actually doing a heads/cam package in te nexy few weeks..

Thas why Im doing a baseline dyno this coming Monday..

I still havent decided if I want to do a conservative LS6 Head cam and dyno around 350.....

Or some AFR heads and a crazy cam and dyno around 410..

Decisions Decisions.....

As long as I have a little more that a stock Z06 Ill be hapy anyways.

I think Im gonna go for a semi/mild combo that puts out aound 370 at the wheels....

There is MUCH more to mashing the gas in a 345 hp vehicle with run flat 18 inch tires.

Practice and the little things get better times.

As for heads n cam... WHY? You are still at the learning stage.

I'd do the vortex ram/ cold air kit and maybe slp loudmouth.

Off topic:

GreenGlow, I was in Oahu during the first week of July on vacation. Your car(Camaro) passed me on the highway, close to Perl City. I wanted to follow you so I could meet you, but I was with a group of people and wasnt driving. Hawaii was definitly different from Pennsylvania, everyone drives so slow there. I never saw a speed limit sign with a minimum speed on it.

Maybe you had already sold the car by then.

Greenglow, im goin with exactly what James said. Dont worry about gettin 410hp out of it, worry about drivin it correctly. Once you get the driving part down, you will love the car that much more. THEN, modify it.

I had alrady sold the maro by then.....

Seemslike everyone see's i besides me...

I miss it some times.Sniff, sniff

Im thinking about painting the vette green to keep the memory alive.

As f as learning to drive it more goes..

Ive got about 30-40 passes in it and dont think I will do much beter than the 13.5 in this 85 degree weather at my track..

When it kools down to the low 70's in a few months I might be able to pull a 13.4 or so.

But unless I was in 55 degree weather in the mainland I dont think its gonna get much better than that.

A head and cam is just so temting.....

The power you get for just 3-3.5 grand (including install and wich combo you get) is insane.

But I may go to the track a few more times before I do the had/cam.....Might as well try and get everything out of her thats possible.
