    I sold it to dreaded hope...

    He's dropped a full second so far off just 5 pounds of boost.

    He's actualy gona go run it again tonight with hopefully a higher boost level.

    If he puts the new belt on that I sent him he should be seeig a solid 8 pounds through the intercooler and hopefully drop another half second.


    Ill start a new thread about that though...

      Greenglow: honestly, did you really expect a high-12 from your car? I think it did pretty good really. I wouldn't feel bad, you're running better than the LS1 f-bodies in your area that are stock, and not to mention you're in Hawaii. It's not exactly the best air for racing. I think you ran some good times. :thumbsup:

        the best z06 according to the vette boards totally stock to the tires is a 11.9x @ something 6 poeple saw it happen.

            Actually, fastest BONE STOCK Z06 is actually 11.87 [img]smile.gif[/img]
            Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
            nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
            2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
            2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

                  I guess 13.5 in 85 degrees with the auto isnt two bad....

                  But hey we all dream of one day runnin 12's right...

                  Some people have done it stock (even in automatics with 2.73 gears) so a guy can dream cant he?

                  As far as my financial situation goes...

                  The buisness that my wife started about 14 months ago is doing really good...

                  For those that remember my wife sold her restarant that she owned for 8 years to get a liquor store...

                  The liquor store cost about 5 times more to open than the retarant did so it was a definite step up..

                  The first year for any new buisiness is the hardest but we made it through pretty easy and are actually doing pretty well.

                  Last month was actualy are best month ever...

                  We took home 14 gand after all the inventory and employees were paid...

                  It's getting really good. Still not rich like my friend but were half way there....

                  But life is just weird man....

                  Not even counting my income my wife is taking home 8-14 grand a month...

                  Tats a lot of money...

                  But some how Im jeolous of my friend who makes 20-30 a month take home...

                  You would think that I would be happy that my family is actualy pretty well off....

                  But no matter what you have you always meet someone who has more...

                  I know Im blessed but for what ver reason I still get jeolous.

                  I get my last pay check from the military on the first of this October.....

                  Right now it seem like Im gonna end up being a house dad for a while...

                  It ended up takin longer for the Army to get rid of me than anticipated so I ended up having a long time to save money...

                  Everything just kinda worked out for the best on the financial situation.

                      I got 299 rwhp and 309 rwt SAE corrected!!!!!

                      I was only expecting 290 in the automatic...

                      It was so kool......

                      He slowly revved it up to 100 mph and ten just slammed it up to 160 mph..

                      Both of the shop guys were surprised how quick she went from 100-160 mph.

                      They kept asking me if I was sure that it was stock.

                      Then I explained to them how it was geared with the 2.73's and they said that was probaly why it pulled so good up top.

                      300 even would have been Kool but I was scared I was gonna pull a 280 or somthing based on my track times...

                      Well atleaste now I know it's me and not the car.

                        04 C5 is still the LS1 then advertised at 345 hp and 350 tq at flywheel.

                        If you think about the HP and TQ going through the converter, then the tranny, then the D/S, then the half shafts and finally getting to the rear wheels I think 299 ain't bad at all.

                        The stock intake is VERY restrictive. Get a vortex ram/ cold air kit, it will REALLY wake the car up.

                        I'm thinking 13.3's with cooler weather, tire psi adjusting, and learning how to drive the car.

                        I'm seeing 13.1's with the vortex cold/ ram air kit.

                        Keep the 2:73's. Upgrading to 3:15's is DAMN expensive in a C5, $700-1,000

                            I've been destroyed by a turbo LS1 C5, dunno if it was TT or single T, all I know is he put bus lengths on me and I was spraying off the line.

                            I hadn't been beaten this bad in AGES!

                                yeah the TT kit they make for the C5 is insane...if it were me...i'd look into that...but thats me hehe
