So inconsistent?

        What were they?
        Also, you "disconnected" the exhaust?

        What did you do?

a 16.5 and 2 16.4's. well thats inconsistant for me anyway. I was bracket racing that night. the 2 I posted were my T&T runs at about 1:00 and 2:00, the rest after 6:00. As for the exaust, there are 4 bolt's that I disconnected right behind the cat. Then you can just slide the pipe over and put is beside the cat. I woulde have taken the cat off but I didn't have a socket ling enough to get to the bolt. But it sounded mean as hell

As for unhooking the exhaust, you will feel a loss downlow but up top feel the gain, ESPECIALLY in a 3.4L.

btw do not remove the CAT and run open Y-pipe will slow you down like a mofo .

My best runs were when I took the cat, off nad clamped on a $20 muffler form advanced auto parts onto the y-pipe where the CAT was. I did this mod on the way to the track and ran new bests.

I ran many of times with just the CAT, no catback hooked up and got lots of 15.7-15.8s, then it clogged completely where if I floored it car would nearly stall, then I went to the muffler.

And it does sound mean Always got complements from even v8 guys on the sound, course I was smart enough to nonly really let them hear idle and a few little revs. Too bad the 3.8L sounds like dirty a$$hole.

As for the pullies, I noticed a slight differnence, nothing huge. Not sure they would have been wortht the price new but I got the belt, and pulleys for $60 shipped used from someone.

Have any charging problems I know some people did, I only did in the rain, with headlights, wipers and AC on.

as far as pullies go for the 3.8, i have heard that ours are allready to the point where they are "underdriven" and the difference that any new pullies would make would probably be minimal.

Eric hit the nail w/ the hammer this time. The 3.4 sounds feckin mean w/o a muffler but thats about it.

Yup, I've heard the pulley's on 3.8's are quite effecient from factory.
