Prior to getting my new mods i had a 1999 camaro 3.8 with slp cold air, whisper lid, k&n, Jet Pcm.. i did a 16 flat
    NEW BEST 15.62 at 87mph my 60' is 2.34
That was with a stall at 2300 rpm my new mods are 3.42 posi, and a TSP exhaust.. I think i can do better if i get a borla XR-1 cuz it'll give me the back pressure i want...

Another unrealted story. Me and my friend were lining up at the lights when this pizza boy calls the cops on us! I turn onto my friend's road and see a cop fly by me going like 80 going to where we were.. He pulls a u turn and come into my friend's driveway.. He asked me a bunch of questions and ran my liscence and saw my registration.. I told him that i know the problem is my exhaust and how it makes my car look like its going fast. He asked me if i was racing and I said no. He told me to use better jusdement next time and i told him i didnt know what he was talking about... He left.. LOL he couldnt do SH!T !!

Are u spinning off the line? If so, launch at a lower RPM, you should be able to get a 2.1 60 foot with 3.42/LSD.

The muffler wont make much difference, except for sound. You shouldnt need the backpressure.

You should look into a Texas Speed PCM to adjust for your gears and some more power.

          2300 rpm launch?
          stock verter?

I didn't know anyone who has been able to stall a stock verteer that high.

60's should be able to be improved.

I'm wondering if you are experiencing tranny issues....

because you shouldnt be able to stall the stock converter to 2300 RPM without spinning the tires, and if you were able to and you dead hook you should be cutting much lower short times than a 2.3

Every car is different, but I think many of the stock 00+ cars can stall up to 2300. It also depends on how much gas you give it AFTER your stall launch. You could be spinning the tires and not hearing it.

the conditions must stink for you...I'm pulling those times on a 3.08 open, lid, and !FRA.

But obviously the 3.42 gears dropped you .3-.4 tenths. I can't wait to get mine installed now.

What was your 1/8 mile time?

We very nearly have the same mods. Just curious what your 1/8 is.
