  • Finally hit 13s

Had a new best in the bird last Friday night. My computer has been down so it took me awhile to get on here, but here's the times.

    RT .753
    60' 1.82
    1/8 8.701 @ 77.39
    1/4 13.672 @ 101.74

I finally gave in and bought a set of 17x9.5 chrome ZO6 wheels and two 275/40/R17 Nittos. Apparently, the track was hooking better than normal because I went last night and no one could hook through the 60'. The pass above was my first pass spraying with the nittos, so hopefully there's room to improve.

That was my first run on the nittos and I had no clue if I could stall them up or not and spray off the line, but it really surprised me (and all my friends). I'm only spraying an 85 shot. It's amazing what tires will do for you. I would bump the shot up to 100, but I don't see the point in pushing it right now.

I was running 26 psi and it was pretty cool that night...around high 50s, low 60s...track prep seemed better than usual. My car was still pretty warm from the drive to the track, but I let it cool down for 30-45 minutes or so before I ran it. I really want to check out some new tracks to see what I'll run now that I know what to expect out of the drag radials.

*Any clue how much a limited-slip differential would help me out? Would it be worth the time and money for the gain (if any) that I would see?
