Got it done tonight. Rather straightforward install. Heading to the track Friday. Timeslips will follow.

did you have to use a shorter belt? also does the belt not hit that stud by the balancer?

Belt is 4" shorter than stock. 905k6 instead of 945k6. Fits fine, and doesn't hit anything. We currently have the wire coming from the pump electrical taped to the upperhose until we can find a better way to keep it away from the belt.

I'll try to get some pics of it up tonight...we didn't get any of the actual install, but it is pretty straightforward, as long as you are not an idiot when it comes to wiring (we had our friend Garrett help us in that department - he made it look pretty easy).

Can't wait to see some fast runs this Friday at Island

Well the only good thing that I've noticed is that the engine runs way cooler now. On the mid to high 70s day that I drove up to island, The temp never went above 172.

The 1/4 mile gains were unnoticable since we also descreened the MAF and added 2* of spark across the board. I did get a new best mph of 95.98 that night and a new best 60' of 1.881. Once we bump up the timing a little more and straighten out any knock as well as getting the MAF tables right so that it's not to lean or rich, I'll be well on my way.

My next purchase is rod-ended LCAs along with relo brackets and I'll see if I can drop some more weight to hopefully net some 1.7x 60's and 96+ mph.

Long story short, I like the water pump even if its just for the better cooling. You'll really love the ability to turn it on without running the engine. Coupled with a fan switch, you can watch the temp needle drop.
