    Raced at Island Dragway tonite...

    My friend Matt and I have a rivalry going...he drives a '99 Grand Prix GT. It has the same 3.8L as the F-bodies. Differences are 3.29 stock gears and a 4T65-E transmission. He only has a conical air filter on his car and some weight reduction. I had the mods in my sig and weight reduction. Here's how it went:

    Me (Camaro)

    Matt (Grand Prix)

    they were doing the Pro tree...kinda caught me off-guard. I still ran a 2.14 60' though. This was Matt's first-ever track run, so he didn't do too bad for a rookie. He got progressively better as the night went on, finally turning out a 15.857 @ 85.99 MPH.

    this settles our grudge though...I'm faster :D

          If your friend learns how to launch his car, you might be in for some trouble. [img]smile.gif[/img] He should be able to get much better launches with some practice.

          I am probably heading down to Island this friday if it looks like a good night. I am hoping for a 14.7 in the cold air.

            Ouch 2.4 60foot for your friend, it would have been neck and neck if he could get traction.
            But that always is the issue for FWD.
