  • ANOTHER NEW BEST!!!(UPDATE)

I went to West Texas Raceway this weekend again for their Desert Racewars street car race. I turned out to be the only NA 6 cylinder car and there had to be atleast 4 to make a class so i moved to the No-E bracket class. This was the first time i got to try my new 15x8" draglites and 275/50/15 BFG DR's. At first the tires weren't impressing me but as the night went on i guess they were breaking in and started hooking really good. I was launching at 4400-4500 by the end of the night. The air had to be really good. I forgot to take my dads Performaire weather computer this time but i did check it once before i left to go to the track and it showed 4600' DA and 27.25 baro at about 5:00PM. im sure it got down to around 3700-4000'. Heres my passes.
    run #1
this was through the exhaust, on a hot motor and the new tires, i tried to leave at 4k adn it spun pretty bad.

    1/4: 13.954
    mph: 96.77

    run #2
This pass was with the headers open and the car was really cold so i pulled the belt for this pass. I hit the rev limiter pretty hard on 3-4 shift so i know it killed some ET and probably atleast .5 MPH. When i got the slip i didnt even look at the slip cuz i knew it would be off a little from hitting the limiter. When i looked i was shocked that it ran that quick. I was mad that I had to hit the limiter because if i didnt i would have for sure had the #1 spot on the site.

    run #3
The next three passes i left the belt on and the motor was at operating temp. so i could get a dial in for the bracket race. This pass the tires started hooking better and it bogged really bad off the line leaving at 3500.

I missed 4th gear this pass but figured the launch out a little more. It spun then grabbed pretty quick.

    run #6 Round 1
This pass i dialed a 13.88 thinking that if it didnt bog the car was fixing to run. I knew the guy I was racing against was a beginner so i didnt hit the tree as hard. He was dialed a 13.05 but he red lit so i hung it out the back door. This is the best pass ive made w/the belt on and the car at operating temperature. After this pass i was wanting so bad to let it cool off and pull the belt for a new best but i still had more bracket racing to do.

    run #7 Round 2
This was a damn good bracket race, probably the best ive ever had. The guy had me at the line by maybe a wheel. I dialed a 13.81 to his 11.10 Ill post both of our slips.

After that pass i decided to let the car cool way off and make one more pass w/the belt off to try and get a 13.5. It was almost a perfect pass. I launched at 4400-4500 adn the car hooked better than it had all night w/o bogging or spinning too much. Heres the slip.

these were all new bests! Overall it was a badass day at the track and i love the new tire/wheels combo! After i ran a 13.5 at this track I am almost positive a 12.9 is in the future at sea level! These Abbott Racing Heads are FLYING!

Hey WickEdSix9838 I live in Odessa Tx, I was at the last Desert Racewars(just watching). When i heard your car for the first time i thought it was a V8 Formula. I was really impressed when I saw you in the v6 NA. I can't wait to see you at the track again. Nice times you put up.

i just read some comments on the new MT Drag radials and by the way it sounds they hook quite a bit better than the BFG's. I'd say u need to try those out!

Thanks alot man, I'll be sure to stop by and talk to you. I still can't get over the fact that your taking out some of the Trans Ams at the track. I bet they hate the fact that your v6 can kill them.
