I am just about to leave to go drag racing. I looked at teh weather conditions and here they are:
Air Temperature: 59 degrees F
Altimeter Setting: 30.16 inches Hg
Dew Point: 49.8 degrees F
Altitude: 150 feet
Relative Humidity 71.5%

That gives me a Density Altitude of 76 feet.
Is the lower the DA the better, or is there no such thing?
Thanks

BTW the Relative Horsepower is 103.7%

The higher up you go, the less oxygen is in the air. If there's less oxygen going into your engine, then there's not as much air/fuel to burn so you get less horsepower. Therefore you want a low density altitude to make more horsepower and faster times.

Yes, you are at better density altitude than your track really is! Enjoy it
