  • This a good time?

Just wanted to see how this compares to other similarly modded cars...

    My wife's car:

2001 V6 Camaro, M5 transmission, whisper lid, K&N filter, Flowmaster 3" in dual 2.5" out muffler (rest of exhaust is stock except for tips).

    15.648 @ 87.89 MPH in the 1/4.

I drove it once down the track and got a similar time. However, this particular pass was made by my wife after some practice (her 2nd time at the track, and about her 7th pass ever, PERIOD)...

I'm planning to buy her some headers for her for Christmas. The y-pipe will come after that, then a nice shifter that's shorter throw, and that will probably by about it for her...

In my opinion that is not a good time over all. For all of those mods she should be able to crack into the 14s assuming that she is a good driver, and i believe that is what you are asking. I have a M5 camaro with just my own home made intake and a riged up battery compacitor which ran a 9.7 and i was told that that is about a 15 flat, and that was only my second time at the track and like my 4th pass out of the 2 times. I am not trying to be mean, but you should have her practice more, cause a good driver should be able to pust a good low 15.

I hate seeing people with mid to low 15 second runs with trap speeds that low. I wish I had traction like that. (or a track that prep'ed well enough to where my minivan tire can get traction) Oh well, hope that issue will be solved with this lsd that's sitting in my room (if I ever get it on)

                2.2 60 foot time

                Non LSD and 3.23 gears.

The headers I'm getting her are CIA headers used. The y-pipe included is for an Auto car.

I wouldn't say its a good time but its very respectable, I see tons of cars very similar to yours runs similar times.

Cool, I wasn't look for "factory freak" times, I was mainly concerned with the car being about on par for other cars with similar mods.
