    basically the late model computers use the VSS as a part of the id to pick fuel and timing. since teh computer is seeing a false read of what speed, adn there fore load, is on teh engine it is not likely to pick teh appropriate space on teh tables to use.
    this si especially important at WOT since teh computer is not using feedback from all of teh sensors it woudl normally use at part throttle. it ignores a lot of data, so the accuracy of the remaining data being used becomes that much more important.
