• Weight Reduction Pays

Well I took out all the useless padding underneath my carpet last night. I am now $6.38 richer from all the change under there! Gonna run at E-town Wednesday night. Shooting for lower 14s, I might cry real tears if I hit 13s.

pfft... I pulled the interior in my 94 once...(Had a race with a modded 3.8L and the night before the race I found out he got like 3 more bolt ons since the last time we raced) I found ~$20 in quarters

Also I decided it was a good idea to pull the carpet and give it a good cleaning my carpet was a little rough

Man a 14.2 with minimal mods. That sucks. I need to move to NJ where the temp is below zero, the DA is below zero and track must be downhill..

There is not a CHANCE IN HELL I can hit a 14.2 NA cam gears, doesn't matter. 14.8ish will be the best I can see.

We started to get to that, but it was too securely installed. We're planning on saving that for when we pull the airbags 'cause we'll have the dash apart then.

Put a 3.73 or 4.10 in your car with a big torque converter, and good suspension and yours would run a lot quicker. I really need to put more gear in mine but i still do a lot of highway driving so ill have to stick w/the 3.73 for now. If i buy a 12 bolt in the near future it will definately have atleast a 4.10 though, maybe a 4.30 or 4.56.

3000rpm @ 80mph, you get used to it. IMO a fair exchange for the added acceleration. Mileage went up ~1mpg. As for weights, my stock race weight was probably around 3400 lbs. And I now have it down to just under 3200. I'll know the exact weight tomorrow night after the track. Thats with !Seats, !Jack, !spare, !carpet padding, !front sway bar, race wheels front and back. And yes Jersey is about perfect race conditions.

has your rear end made any extra noise after numerous 5k dumps? Mine has started to whine on deceleration w/the clutch in....i wanna race this weekend but I'm kinda nervous about going.
