    Try replacing the fluid and see how it responds. While you have the cover off, you can take a look at the gears for anything obvious. Mine whined horribly when I first put them in, but after a fluid change they were fine.

      Started out around 3450 lbs
      Best weight now is 2900 lbs

      As for the rear, I have a T/A girdle and stud kit and run synthetic rear diff lube. I change it every year. I grenaded 3 LSD units in 3 years and 1 axle and I'm an AUTO! I run a powertrax locker diff now.
      Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
      nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
      2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
      2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

        the fluid thats in the rear has less than 1k on it, its Castrol Syntec synthetic gear oil. Last time i had the cover off they looked good BUT they didnt whine then. I'll probably skip out on running this weekend and check them when I go back home.

            Mine is 3600 lbs. with me in it. No weight reduction needed here. Just weight addition...lol
