    The transmission weighs 146 pounds dry, and 162 wet. It requires 8.4 quarts (9.64" torque converter) or 11.4 quarts (11.81" torque converter) of Dextron III fluid

    I never had the exact #'s... now I do [img]smile.gif[/img]
    Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
    nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
    2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
    2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet

                dude i had to move my tranny to the other side of my garage today (working on engine/tranny rebuild)....i didn't think it was 146 lbs....i feel strong now :)

                    no wonder i went through 2 tranny mounts just this season! ..time to go with a heavy duty mount

                        Be careful with static tranny capacity numbers. Lots of variables there other than the TC size(aftermarket tranny cooler, tranny pan, length/size of lines to/from cooler, size of cooler, etc)

                        I never really pay much attention to exactly how much fluid I put in mine. I just fill it until the dipstick tells me to stop. [img]smile.gif[/img]
