At what RPM does the cars power peak at? Maybe i should ask where is the most optimal shifting points or should i take it to redline while at the track? Thanks for any help.

you know how you searched and found you answer in the exhaust section? do it again ;) this has been discused before. but, it think you just need to practice and get a feel for your car. that will help you decide when your car needs to change. but umm....yeah, atleast dontm go past redline. get close, but try to not hit it either, just to be safe.

Assuming you have a 5 speed and stock...our cars peak hp is at 5200 rpms....and past 5500 stock it starts to really choke up....So in stock form I'd say first gear go to redline since that gear is pretty steep and you'll get to redline pretty quick..then shift as fast as you can to 2nd (duh ;) and take 2nd up to like 5800, then 3rd as far as possible because 4th isn't peppy much at all. In my car 3rd winds out around 90 mph. 1997 3.5 manual
