• About what hp am i looking at? and could i take this car?

I'm mainly concerned with knowing about what i have HP wise, because i hate being asked and not knowing what to say. here are all my mods, i know not all of them affect hp, but they contribute to the second question:

pacesetter headers
3" gutted cat
3" piping w/ravin muffler
Lid w/powershot filter
functional hood nostrils
fra
!maf screen
Aluminum driveshaft
MSD coils
Taylor wires
ngk plugs
160 degree thermo
fan switch
poly tranny mount
lsd
fairly new khumo 245s
!back seats
!spare tire/jack
h&r springs w/v8 shocks(no aftermarket control arms or panhard rod, so i know hooking up well is an issue)
and i have the stock 3.23s

so about what hp should i expect? and my second question is, could i take a near stock '96 or '97(dont remember) mustang GT auto? all he has is an intake, and its lowered. he swears id never win or come close, but refuses to even try to race me. he thinks just cause he has a v8 that no v6 can touch him

thanks

lol, i shoulda specified... i meant flywheel. but 205 sounds pretty high. equating for about a 15% drivetrain loss, if im correct comes out to like 230+ flywheel hp. i really wasnt expecting it that high. i wasnt thinking anything more than probably 220 at the flywheel

I put down 180 rwhp
Hit the dyno and find out

96 gt, if it is an auto and a 4.6L they are mid-low 15 second cars.

You might win... you might lose

Well let's see

With just a muffler, I ran a 15.149@90.23. It was against a stock '96 mustang GT, stick, who ran a 14.752@92.71. It was a close race, I have the timeslip here if you want to look at it closer. You have more mods than I do, and he has an automatic, so I think you will come out on top, just don't fug up the launch or miss a shift.

With an auto he will be trapping less than 92, you should be over that anyways.

i say 225-230 hp at the fly and 190-195 at the wheels..if your car is running great and atmosphere conditions are good. If you are pretty experienced with a manual you should see 14's easy.

I think it'll be a driver's race assuming both cars are regularly maintenanced and in good shape. I doubt you're throwing down anything over 200rwhp cuz I have similar mods cept 3.42s and custom tuning and from my traps I'm sitting right around 200 myself.

It's worth a shot, you won't be embarassed for sure, so I say light em up!
