What should I do to launch best? I'm really kind of clueless as to where to launch at (although I think it should be at about 2500 rpms or max tourque). And after I let the clutch go, I don't know how much I should gas it.
Please give me some tips, I really want to race my friend's '96 Camaro without spinning much.
2500 rpm is not max torque. A lot of it depends on your car. Try different rpm and clutch techniques to see what works best.

I'd rev it up to ~3000-3500 feather the clutch out quickly and go. Launch harder and harder until your car starts to spin.

be sure you pull the clutch out some while waiting to launch, just to where she likes to roll. Smoothly let the clutch out when you slap down on the throttle and you'll cut 2.1s
OK, now that you have finished your burnout, pull up to the staging area and get set. With street tires try 3000 rpms and make sure you let the clutch out almost to where it is engaging. Now wait for the lights. 1...2...GO. Let the clutch off quickly but do not "Dump" it. At the same time FLOOR it and get ready to shift. Let the tires spin. If they spin too much, nothing you can do about it now.
Before the next run, think about what happened. If you got too much spin, let the clutch off a little slower. If you got no tire spin, let it off a little faster. You want a little tire spin but not too much. Watch other cars that have similar tires and you will get an idea of how much spin is good. If you have sticky tires, bump up the RPMs (with some slicks, launch at 6000!).
However, the best advice was the first thing posted, PRACTICE.
