they are street tires, that means junk for the track. get some regular bfg dr's or nitto dr's. at least they are actually menat for racing.
one set of street tires over another will show minimal gains in 1/4 times on the best day.
I just got a pair of Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 255/50-R16. They are extreemly soft. If it does not rain, tommorrow I will give them a try at the track. I will let you know how they do. They will be track use only (to and from the track also).
Nitto's will be the best choice for more than stirp action. Mine lasted about 6,000 miles with about 50 passes or so on them. I was pulling 1.9 60's with them, just be careful in the rain.
I wouldn't even use the new MT's for driving to the track, they are so soft you would heat cycle them very badly. For a street legal drag radial thats going to be used on the street nitto's are the best choice. 245/50/16.

the new m/t radials are supposed to be the quickest and fastest radials ever. haven't heard a ton about wear yet, btu they can't be that much worse than the BFG's. i swear those tires are designed to go bald. hehe
nitto's are nice, but they don't seem to have teh bite of the other brands of dr's i have seen/used.
If I was switching at the track anyway I would just buy real ET streets instead of DR's.
