More weight reduction. there's a ton of little things to get weight down. suspension is a must. rod-ended lca's, strong torque arm, shocks/springs to get the launch. rear end and gears up to at least 3.73's. then there's the little problem of power.......

i got LOTS of power :D ..especially when i go direct port...i've taken so much weight out of the car but am still looking for more to remove..or just replace with lighter components..i may end up going with 3.73s after i see what the 3.42s can do for me..i have to pay it off too..having it also be my daily driver kinda presents some problems

I HATE people who say.... well if I had this... and if I had that......

        I go by proven methods....

All the info on 10 bolts surviving 10 second cars.... yup, I agree.

As for the 4th gen 3.8L v6 f bodies going 10's...... AIN'T happening any time soon.

Hell..... we have few 12 second cars.... and maybe 1 11 second car???

11's are NOT easy....I've been at it for 2 consecutive years and entering my third year!
        10's are VERY FAR off!

We (4th gen 3.8 L v6 f bodies) are WAYYYY behind the GTP people...... gets a bit annoying when I see people say... they can do it... so we can do it easily.....

i know that the f-body crowd is behind the curve a little bit in development, but it is more from a lack of application of existing knowledge than a lack of information.
since a 3.8 is just a 3.8 you can take the FWD crowds engine knowledge and apply it.
since it is an f-body you can take the V8 crowds suspension and chassis tech and apply it.
i do not see how 10's can be too far off, if properly prepared it does not take a ton of power to get down there. i am not talking about a stripped out tin can either, i mean a pump gas street car with a "full" interior.
james, you know my town pretty good now, if you want to get 10's from your car this season all you have to do is drop by my house. your car has more than enough potential, taking it from potential to reality is what makes good ET's.
