• possible 10s??

i was just working some numbers..and this depends on traction from the BFGs and all..dont know that it will really work out this way..but what do you guys think?..

14.7 - naturally aspirated from all the weight reduction, drag radial, tuned PCM, etc

13.4 - taking off 1.3 seconds that i got out of the powerdyne i owned before

10.9 - taking off 2.5 seconds from a direct port 100 - 125 shot

There are a number of issues but one that jumps into my mind is your rear end. You still have a 10 bolt? If so, that is going to be a problem with 10s. You will need a 12 bolt.

Also, I am not sure about the transmission. I know an M5 would just explode.

Another issue is going to be your cam. Unless you increase the exhaust duration, you will never get enough exhaust gasses out to make enough HP. There might be an intake duration issue but I do not think so.

From what I have seen, your bottom end should hold up if you do have all forged internals.

So, other then the valve train, transmission, and rear end (basically everything except injection and bottom of the motor), I think you will be fine.

Yea don't jump for 10s just yet, gonna have to figure out your tuning and all now with the direct port AND blower which will take some time. Then build up your rear end and tranny to handle the power and torque you will be throwing at them.

wowwwwwww...a lot more involved than i thought..well..im pretty positive i'll be deep into the 12s ..anything better than that is really going to depend on how much the direct port system does for me..was just curious i guess..thanks for the info guys!

Full bolt-on car, weight reduction, and a 125 shot direct port you'll be lucky to be in 11s IMO!

I'm sure you will get 12's, possibly 11's. Dont jump to 10's though.

you're kind of falling into the typical way of thinking about mods, where any effect your modifications may have upon your car are additive.

for example:

full exhaust +15 hp
full intake +5 hp
cam +30 hp
computer tuning +10 hp

for a total of +60 hp... however, your mods and their benefits are going to be asymptotic to whatever potential the engine and chassis has. they will work together, but toward a cumulative effect.
