  • How much would it cost to turn an all stock '95 Camaro V6 into a fast drag car?

I'm just wondering, because I know of a '95 that is for sale for $2,000.

first of all, what do you personally consider fast? do you mean fast as in heads up competitive against the average street car? fast compared to stock?
you can easily get a 3.4 car into the 14's with bolt ons and weight reduction. 13's would, prolly take a mild cam and some head/intake work. 12's woudl require a lot of work.
if you are interested in trying i am more than willing to help with your combo.

What 3.4 are you talking about? Heads and cam would get you mid to high 14's...just bolt-ons got me really high 15's

                Is this a M5 or A4?

</font>[/QUOTE]a 3.4 with a proper set up woudl get into the high 14's on externals only.
gears, proper exhaust, electric water pump, weight reduction, air intake, and tuning will take you a long way. the tuning and gears would supply the biggest gains.
to date i have not heard a whole lot about anyone really putting together what i woudl personally consider a completely prepared car. there are some people with starts on chassis or engine combos that could work, but no one has really put the whole thing together yet.

Thats all doable, just put more gear and suspension on a fully bolt on car and it can do it.

If your going for the full out "drag car" I'd look into motorswaps, likely na lt1.

With Full Exhaust (And Open Exhaust), intake, full MSD ignition, drag suspension, and about 150 lbs of weight reduction got my 3.4 to run a 15.7. There no electric water pump for the 3.4, nor is there tuning for the 3.4 except to fix for gears and minor stuff, nothing to free up a lot of power. And there is no way adding gears to mix would get me into the 14's. If you want 14's out of a 3.4 you have to dig into the heads/intake/and cam.

I got 6 tenths out of gears. That and another 150lbs out of your car would have got a 14.9 at least.
