Where you guys mount your 5 Point harness too? Right now mine are bolted to the stock seat belt spots and I know thats not safe. I'm thinking of getting an Eye Hook to screw into where the rear buckets bolt to and bolt everything there. I'm getting a roll cage but I'm getting it with the removable center bar. What would you guys do?

i would keep the two points that go across your lap in the stock belt location..the sub belt (crotch belt) ..i saw a bar for that on a web site..i really cant remember where it was but you could probably find it by searching..the little bar bolts to the floor..right in front of the seat..and the sub belt hooks on to that..then id just hook the two shoulder belts to the removable center bar on the roll bar 12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

Look in either NHRA or IHRA rulebooks. They will give you the proper and legal location to mount them especially if you installing a cage.1989 TTA #609 - 12.42 @111.35 - stock
1991 Mustang GT - 12.52 @109.3 - mostly stock
2001 Yukon XL - tow vehicle - 16>49 @81.4

Mine shoulder straps are individual wrap-around style. They're wrapped on the crossbar of the roll bar. The front strap is wrapped around a bar that I made that's bolted down where the front of the seat bolts to.
Here's a pic of the front bar.-Travis
99 Trans Am, Pewter, A4 Forged, stalled, and cammed
85 Buick Regal WH1 T-Type It\'d be cool if it ran...
94 Camaro 3.4, Teal, M5 The daily beater

Just a note for everybody: stock seatbelts, airbag, and helmet will be much much safer than an improperly mounted (or no roll bar'd) harness.
Reasons?
1. Without a roll bar, the roof crushes in on you, and a stock belt allows you to slip sideways and get out of the way, while a harness locks you upright.
2. Without a HANS device, a taught harness snaps your neck in a front end collision, while a stock seatbelt has a bit of give and the airbag is cushy.97 Camaro 3.8L M5
Car for saleterpmotors.com Terrapin Motorsports! UMCP

i figure...i have a racing steering wheel...so it will just crush my entire rib cage instead of breaking..sending the column through my chest..that makes me feel MUCH better haha12 SECOND DUAL STAGE DRY NITROUS POWERED 98 A4 V6 CAMARO
www.MySickCamaro.50megs.com
Best ET: 12.82@103
Best MPH: 104.7
Best 60\': 1.75 - Stock TC

quote:
Originally posted by Shodown:
1DV6 runs 12\'s...enough said.

i was told on Camaro Z28 and the old rule book that the removealbe center bar was NOT Nhra/IHRA legal they will not let you run with it. it must be welded.
i'm installing mine tomarrow if my seats come in time
also to do not mount the sholder sraps to the floor if you wreck it will cause the forec to crush your spin... ouchy
they should be mounted not above the shoulders and noe more then 4 inches below themwww.turbov6camaro.com
