Sorry for late response didn't notice anyone posted in here.

-Unhooked lid, my homemade smooth bellows, and the factory rubber grommet(so the front of the intake is right on top of the radiator shroud) Also forgot to mention I had a descreend MAF

-unhooked exhaust at the factory point, right above the little flimsy crossmember, after the CAT, and post CAT O2

    I hit a 14.6, 14.7

And a 15.0, obviously a bad run, haven't been racing in awhile, and I think I could push my launches a bit harder.

My best ever with unhooked intake, exhaust, but still had belt, and front sway bar on was a 14.7. Best ever with front sway bar on but all the other stuff off 14.4@95.45. Best ever full paperfilter showroom, how it is when you get it from the dealership stock with ~33k miles on it I ran a 15.2

As for where I ran, Orlando Speed World (Spurberry, Vermont is a Super Troopers reference)

Also went on that friday 2 days later on the 22nd, I ran a 14.6@94.1, and a 14.7@93.96 Wasn't a good night though, lots of wrecks, lots of delays, and still humid, I think ~60% I also pulled another 15.0.

I almost went last night but it was like 80% humidity, and only in the high 50s-60s, so I stayed at work, don't need to spend $45 in 7 days just for a similar trip to the dragstrip I want me some dry air or at least ~25% humidity, and get my trap speeds up a little bit.

i think you should get below 10's before you start tearin apart the car
weight reduction is a modification just like any other (except its free) ..everyone has the ability to do this to their car..just like any other mod..whether they choose to or not is up to them..just like any other mod..therefor..not cheating..cheating would be more like dropping a V8 in your car and telling your competitor that its a V6..or somehow presenting your car as something that it isnt..giving you an unknown/unfair advantage..like racing in a V6 class with a V8 or something..or saying you wont use the juice but you really do..JMO

I don't mind a little weight reduction but I enjoy my car at street, strip, and autcross so I like my mods to change between each without any of it being harder then to swap wheels.

Hey im going to be going to the track soon and had a few questions. I just put exhaust on my car and figure why not do a few other things such as un-hooking the drive belt and intake etc. Is it worth it that much to unhook the belt? and also does it hurt the car at all by doing this?

IF you run your car too long you will overheat.

Only way to do this is have your car dead cool then pull it run the car and return back to the staging lanes and shut the car off.

With no drivebelt, your car is running off your battery only and your waterpump is not working.

As for being worth it, I think its worth it, just get a 15mm wrench push down on the tensionor and the belt pops right off. takes more time to change your air filter then it takes to pull your belt.

Putting it back on just put it on, and make sure its run properly and not snagged on anything. Takes ~1 mintue for me to get it back on.

Yeah I didn't really like the taking off my drivebelt thing today. I ran the car without the drivebelt and it started to overheat really bad when I turned around to go back to the staging lanes.

With the drivebelt off I only gained .10 mph and couldnt judge the 1/4 time cause I had no traction. I did trap at 88.5 with a 2.9 60'. And with the drive belt on it went 88.40 in the 1/4. Before I ran a 16.14 at 83.85mph, but that was with a 2.2 60' last year.

But yeah Im scared to take the belt off again due to that I don't want to hurt my car. Does your car over heat that badly when you run it?

At 160 when racing, to way over 210, prolly like 225 by time i was at the end of the track. And how many tenths and mph does it give you then?

try getting an electric wp and 160 thermo. with those mods ur car will run cool easy. if i'm driving in 40 degree weather, thetemp gauge goes up to just past the 1st 1/4 mark, nowhere near the 210 mark. anything above 50, and it get's closer to 210. the electric wp will let u run a shorter belt all the time, so u'll have better top-end all the time.
