in a way, that is correct...
... but in another, more accurate way, it's incorrect. for your info, shenanigans, an old member named mustangeater holds the record. </font>
he drove a 3.4? </font>
back in the day, yes.
and the question about losing top end has been definitively answered in the thread you started, 00firebird. </font>
ohhhh..no..i meant andrew.brandon is trying to beat Eric's time..and that the two of these guys should both be close to it..my bad..and sorry i missed that thread
Nice run with the 3.4. After getting 3.73s my 1/8 dropped to 10.009 and but my 1/4 still held at 15.7. My top end was about 2 - 3 mph off. You will have to get used to the 3.73s, do not expect great results the first time out on the track.

If you don't reprogram, maybe
my car topped off around 105 when I didn't reprogram my 3.4L for when I put in 3.42s, I assume going to something like 4.10s woudl be worse.
Ohh ok andrew.brandon hasn't beaten it yet, I just wanted to see what he ran if he did. Its very feasible to beat. Just wanted to see what he ran. I think 3.4L is very capable of making the 14s.

HEy 1st and 2 in my car are great I ran with a 2000 camaro V8 when I did this time. When the light got green I was in the lead on second it was dead even BUT when I hit 3 my car just dies what do you think about this.
On the races I have been no car has steped in front of me in the first two gears Whyyy???
I know that between my car an the Camaro V8 there is a lot of difference but the third on my car really sucks(3.4 vs 5.7)= 15.9 vs 13.5

as for my current best it was set last april at cecial dragway which has the famous cecial mod, a downhill grade :D . the time is 16.1@83.93. what was with an ebay cold air intake, an 80 series flowmaster with the stock rusted 2.5" piping, and some 245/50/16 BFG T/A KDWS's. at my local track I was making only 16.8 with the same mods. since then I have added underdrive pullies, the aie intake temp mod , and have finally knocked off enough rust off the bolts on the cat that I can disconnect the exaust. with those mods I run consistant 16.3's at the local track. if I were able to run at cecial again I think I would be able to run 15's for sure. and I have some new goodies that are awaiting some money for their install. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250/2 I am hoping with those mods I can beat erics time at cecial this april. If I had not just had to pay for a tranmission rebuild I would also be doing a cam and heads setup. I would believe that would have put me in the 14's. guess I'll haft to wait till summer to find out
I got my suspension componets from www.ftpp.net they have a LARGE v6 setcion to choose from too :D talk to josh he is the one that set me up with my stuff. his AIM is viper98885, thats his screen name on this board too, look for him in the tech section from time to time
