Well that sucks...Why wouldn't the aluminum hold up to a 5k launch?

i am torn on the inertia thing.
i can certainly see how the engine would bog more from having less mass there fi you were dumping the clutch. but since you fade out of the clutch quickly it leaves a lot of room to play around.
outside of the possibility of having to make a few minor tweaks to how you launch the car i don't see any negative result. at worst your 60ft stays in teh same range and you make up ET down track anyway.
