im going to be running 16" weld pro stars with M/T ET streets on the rear..however..im still going to be left with my 18"x9.5" chrome C5s up front wrapped in kumho ecsta supra 712s..is there any way anyone could tell me how much of a drop in ET id see by switching to welds and skinnies up front?..is there any other gain you get from this other than weight loss?..friction?, rotating mass?, etc?..thanks!

I run Weld drag lite 15 X 3.5's with a 165 80 15 radial tire in front
Tire + rim weight = 26 pounds
To put it into perspective-
SLPss 17 X 9 w/ 275 40 tire n wheel = 47 pounds
stock 16X8 w/ 255 50 tire n wheel = 46 pounds
I've lent my skinnies to a couple of my V8 friends who run 17X9's etc in front.
Typically all of them knocked off 0.1 in their ET.
Rotating mass is decreased
Less friction due to smaller diameter tire
Weight alone is decreased

If you are going to run 16 inch prostars then you must be talking about the XP's.. If so I dont think they make a skinny for them... I have the regular 15 inch prostars.. The backs are 15 by 8 1/2 and the skinnies are 15 by 3 1/2..Jeff ..
